Acquisition of PARO by Renewi completed

Competition authorities have approved the acquisition of PARO, buro ontwerp & omgeving and GMP Exploitatie by Renewi per August 1.
Eindhoven – 1 August 2022. The competition authorities have given their approval: as of today, the acquisition of PARO by Renewi is completed. The conditional agreement was reached on 23 May this year. Now that the final approvals have been issued, PARO is integrated into the Renewi organisation as of today. For the time being, PARO will remain an independent B.V. (private limited liability company) until it becomes part of Renewi Commercial Waste Nederland. It is the first major acquisition since Renewi was founded in 2017 and strengthens the company’s position in Noord-Holland.
Renewi strives to be the number one waste-to-product business, thereby contributing to a sustainable society. The transaction means Renewi expands its capabilities in the processing of waste streams from the construction and infrastructure sector, with the aim of producing valuable secondary raw materials and offering solutions aimed at the further transition to a circular economy. It will also accelerate its goal of becoming the best processing and recycling organisation within in the Netherlands.
