Renewi not only helps you comply with CSRD legislation, but together we take steps towards a more sustainable future. With our waste management solutions and CO2 reporting tool you can start improving your sustainability performance today.

We understand that collecting and reporting CO2 data and recycling data in line with CSRD legislation can be challenging for many companies. That is why we have developed a CO2 and recycling reporting tool to help you easily comply with the CSRD reporting requirements. With this tool, you gain insight into and control over your CO2 emissions and circularity, enabling you to strengthen and accelerate your sustainability strategy. This way, you can not only comply with legal obligations, but also actively contribute to your sustainability goals.

CO2 and recycling reporting tool in MyRenewi

To report your waste in accordance with the CSRD directive, you require figures from Renewi on CO2 emissions and circularity for each waste stream. CO2 emissions refer to the emissions actually released during the collection and processing of your waste.

Renewi commissioned TNO, an independent Dutch research organisation, to calculate the actual CO2 emissions of the 30 most common waste streams. This means you are assured of objective and scientifically substantiated CO2 data, specifically calculated for the activities of Renewi and our chain partners.

To determine circularity according to the new definitions of CSRD, Renewi collaborated with Royal HaskoningDHV. They determined the circularity per waste stream. So, the circularity of a commodity when you look at the whole chain, including final processing. These new figures will be integrated into MyRenewi.

These figures enable you to report transparently and further strengthen your sustainability strategy.

"Our customers can make use of a comprehensive report in the MyRenewi portal where you can view and export CO2 and recycling rates per waste stream."

What is CSRD?

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) arises from the European Green Deal and obliges companies to provide more comprehensive and detailed reports on their sustainability impact. It concerns not only financial performance, but also how they address social and environmental issues, such as CO2 emissions, circularity and energy use. Companies must show how they contribute to a more sustainable world and the risks they face if they do not. The aim is to increase transparency and encourage companies to operate more sustainably. From 2024, this obligation will apply to more and more companies.
