Macquarie Asset Management, via Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 7, and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) (together, “the Consortium”), have completed the acquisition of Renewi, a leading waste-to-product company.

Renewi E-waste Plastics has recently successfully passed the RecyClass audit. RecyClass, similar to EUCertPlast, was developed to improve the certification of plastic recyclers and offers a reliable method for tracing plastic waste and verifying recycled material in products.

In May 2024, Accenture reached a significant milestone in its sustainability journey: achieving a Zero Waste certificate. Thanks to targeted efforts, the company successfully reduced residual waste at its Gare Maritime office to a maximum of 15 grams per day per employee or visitor.

On Tuesday 29th April 2025, the Recydel site in Wandre, part of Renewi's E-waste division, opened its doors to the Walloon Minister for the Environment, Yves Coppieters, and the City of Liège's Alderman for the Environment, Carine Clotuche, for an on-site visit dedicated to the recycling of E-waste.

Even fewer kilometers, lower emissions, and less traffic congestion in Amsterdam. Starting this month, Green Collective is expanding its operations in the city. Green Collective brings together waste collectors to jointly collect commercial waste within municipalities.

One year after the opening of the advanced hard plastics sorting facility in Acht, Eindhoven, waste-to-product company Renewi reflects on the progress. The facility has increased processing capacity and delivers recycled hard plastics with a purity of at least 95%.

Waste-to-product company Renewi is investing in a new recycling line at its Renewi Destra site in Breda. This advanced installation increases productivity for the secure destruction and recycling of confidential waste.

Coolrec will from now on operate under the name Renewi E-waste. With this rebranding, Renewi is consolidating its expertise in plastic recycling under one strong brand, allowing it to serve its customers even better.
