Renewi rebrands 1,000 trucks and 100 sites

20 February 2018

International waste-to-product company, Renewi plc (LSE: RWI) has accelerated its rebranding project, with more than 1,000 trucks and 100 sites rebranded.

Fitting the 1,000th truck and the 100th location with the new brand name marks a significant milestone in Renewi’s rebranding project following the merger of Shanks and Van Gansewinkel almost a year ago.

The integration of both strong legacy companies is progressing well and will deliver target annualised €40m cost synergies to be delivered in financial year 2019/20, with an initial €12m on track to be delivered this year. Building the new Renewi brand name is an important part of the integration plans of the company.

The 1,000th truck was rebranded this week at Renewi’s Aalst site in Belgium and the 100th site was rebranded at Renewi’s Pijnacker site in the Netherlands. All of Renewi’s 2,500 vehicles and 250 sites are being fitted with the new brand name or in the case of some fleet, are being replaced in accordance with a carefully planned replacement programme. As part of the integration, Renewi is also rolling-out an upgraded and more efficient truck fleet.

Peter Dilnot, CEO at Renewi said:
“It is great to see our Renewi brand coming to life on our vehicles and locations, as well as in in many other forms. Our Renewi brand is important as it represents our waste-to-product business model and our role at the centre of the circular economy. We look forward to continuing to roll-out our brand at pace, including on our trucks, sites, workwear and other items.”
